Weird Wiper and Headlight Problem

Well after i painted the car, and got everything put back together. I hooked up the marker lights and taillights and when i tested out the lights i popped my fuse able link. I ended up having a plug in the wrong place, i fixed that and tried it again and the lights worked.

The Problem

When my headlights are not flipped up or on, the wipers will not quit wiping. Not sure what has caused this, any ideas???? I have troubleshooted this and tried to find a short or ground or something obvious and cant find anything??

Check the middle fuseable link.

What "plug" did you have in the wrong place? Sounds like some stuff got cooked.

Go to the FAQ and follow link to online manual. Check Body Electrical section for testing procedures.

I have a wiring diagram and have gone though it. The link that fried was the 30 amp headlight one. I had the passenger marker light wrong no big deal, once we plugged it in no problems. I did not notice this at first being i do most driving in the dark. I have done the basic going over. I pretty much know the wiring of this car being i rewired the entire thing 2 years ago and update the SA to a FB wiring system front to rear, just got in to much of a hurry after painting.

It could be something went awry in the combo switch on the steering column.

Did you replace it with another link of the same Amp?
