Weird starting problem

So I got the emissions removed from my car. Everything runs good as is. Idles fine, pulls fine. But it doesn't start fine after its been sitting. Its like its flooding. probably is flooding. It starts to turn over but it takes a minute to fire up, and when it does it just chugs along for a second until I rev it up then it clears up drops to idle perfectly, but it does blow out a huge cloud of white smoke that smells very strongly of gas. As far as I can tell everything is hooked up and plugged right. I do still have the acv hooked up with the afterburners though cause I havent had a chance to install my header

do you have a 12A or an SE with the 13B? as a note, our cars do not have any afterburners, lol. you either mean catylitic converter or anti afterburn valve.

lol, haha, yeah. I mean the the two anti afterburn valves. And it is a 12a. Im more worried about the fact that the gas will wash away the oil then the fact that the carb is not behaving properly after shut down because I have a weber DCOE that will be going onto the car after I talk to Rob at rotaryshack. I have the vacume advance, the crack case vent and the whte emissions cylinode for the accelerator dashpot thing still hooked up the the first three nipple on the intake hooked up from the front the front of the car back, then the rest are disconnected and plugged. its not a vac leak, but it seems like theres pressure getting to the floats in the carb or something like that and its pushing the gas that left in the carb into the engine. This in turn is causing a slight flooding. I havent checked the bowl glass though before start to see if this is the case. I will check this tomorrow before I start the car agian to see if this is the case.
