Angry Weird Alarm/Buzzing...

I've searched the forums, and have found nothing on it...but after I drive my car for five minutes or so, and there is this high-pitched sound coming from the rear of my car. After I kill my car, it slowly dies out after a minute or so. Any ideas as to what this could be? It's painfully annoying...

Gas tank venting?

Next time pop off the gas cap and see if it stops.

Yep, I'm with RotaryAXer on this one. Could be the high pitched sound of air being sucked into the gas tank, due to a clogged charcoal cannister system. Easy enough to check it out.

if you shut the car off before this starts happening does it turn off normally,or does it do that all the time?
if it does it only after it starts the noise i would think it would be related to the gas tank vent.

All buzzers are located in the dash. If the sound is coming from the rear, it's not a buzzer

I have no speakers, no wiring, no stereo. lol. It sounds like it's air driven, because it slowly starts to die out AFTER I turn the car off, and it starts up a few minutes after I run the car, gradually. Doesn't sound electronic. I'm probably gonna agree with the charcoal canister/gas tank solution, but how do I check to see if the charcoal canister is clogged???

While it is making that noise, remove the gas cap and see if it stops. That will determine if we are on the right track.
