weighed my turbo FB Today, Guess the weight

Hey Guys,

Weighed my turbo FB today. Guess the weight and what are any turbo fb's out there weighing in at?

Some mods and pics to help you guess.

85 gsl-se
complete stereo system with amps and custom box, AC (blows nice and cold), Respeed front sway bar, rear sway bar removed.

man... cant help but keep staring at your car.. great pics!

is the a sports water bottle as the coolant overflow tank? clever hehe..

also what shocks are those for the rear hatch glass? do they support the glass and windshield wiper without dropping down?

mine weighed in at 2240, but all the bs was out

i'd say yours is around 2600.

Man you guys are good. I forgot to mention I have a train horn setup installed as well. 3 horns with a compressor as pictured.

Wow!! Great Guess 2660 was the weight with a full tank.

Yes, I was using a sports water bottle, but now its a metal tank.

Not sure on the shocks, I think they were from pep boys. They support the windo just fine. In fact only one is new and the other is original. I removed the windshield wiper and motor. No rain in Cali.

Not BS, just toys. 2240 and you are making that kind of power? I doubt a few hundred pounds would even slow your ride.

it was easier to R&R the motor than it was to install a train horn on a first gen rx7!!! never again!

so thats 2,860 with you driving it.... thats a heavy first gen

chris, my blue 83 weighs 2,300 with me in it( weight ballasts removed)
its got the heavier liquid intercooler and the cage, heavier turbo 2 tranny and the mustang rear end...
no ac,no bumper supports,no door supports, no headlight motors,no heater,no rear storage bins/sheetmetal, the lighter gs front brakes,no power windows, no stereo system or train horn tho....

true that! not to mention mine only runs on c16 wick is over ten bucks a gallon, while chris only needs 91 too keep his ac pumping ice cold

i did the math the wrong way , was thinking fuggin huge would be lyin' and closer to 300 , putting your car even lighter ,

whats the big secret in getting the car down so low near 2000 on the scale ?

The real question is where did you weigh them and how accurate do you really think the scale is?

Mine weighed about 2390 at a truck stop with alot of after market goodies installed. Hopefully with the further weight reduction that I did this year, I'd be closer to 2250-2300lb. I would like to have my car scaled at some place that has all 4 corner weights.
