i just recently used it as a guide and it helped alot. i started off by ripping everything out then went back (after looking at the professional way) and put back what needed to stay. overall EASY and worth it!!!! thanks carl and pratch! WOOT!

Whats wrong? Its a big file so Id suggest you right click on the link for the tutorial and save target as. Then itll be on your hard drive.

that's an alternate link - some people have reported issues on the other, but they are few and far between. Definitely select download link to disk instead of viewing it in-browser

What I'd like to see, or even *do* is a nikki rebuild one. I think it's something that alot of people on this forum could use, for those of us who are too short on money to upgrade to a weber, holley or dellorto... or buy a paul yaw one.

And with our cars being around 20 years old, those stock Nikkis are just begging for a nice rebuild. If I get my hands on a spare one, and learn a bit more, I'll do it. Mine's being rebuilt right now by someone else.. I helped him take it apart, but seeing as I didn't have a camera...

Anyone got a nikki to donate? (and I don't drink beer, but donations for Jolt Cola will help through the exams! hehe, just kidding :P)

A stock FB carb? I have three spares, (though one is screwed up royally). Rebuilding the stock carb is surprisingly easy. (of course, I'm mechanically inclined to being with, but, even then...) A good Hayes manual should have an entire section on rebuilding carbs, and the rebuild kit is easilly available anywhere that RX parts are seriously sold. If you really want one to practice on, I might be able to arrange something with one of my spares... let me know and maybe we can work something out?

Actually that is a very good suggestion.

Perhaps the next chapter will be in stripping down/rebuilding a Nikki...

Carl - I know my time is rapidly evaporating, but if you think we can do it this weekend...
