Question Weber question...

Hey guys, I have a weber 45dcoe with upper intake manifold that connects to lower 88 rx7 manifold. My question is, can a larger weber be put on to the same upper intake manifold without modifications? Like a 48 or whatever...?
Thanks guys

I'm a real noob when it come to this, but I believe it can't be done. Well it ca, but isn't the 48 bigger than a 45. In the square inches of the holes of the intake manifold like.

The bore in the manifold is usually the same size as the carb so it will have to be ported out.

I think the 45 and the 40 are interchangeable , but the 48 is bigger overal than the 45 and therfor the mounting holes are spaced differently
