Weber carb question...

Hey guys i figure i post this here since you guys probably have the most experience with carbs, especially weber carbs.

I am thinking about getting 55 dco, but they offer it as a dco sp and dco 1 sp, does anyone know the difference between the two? i know the 55 might be over kill, but just a thought, i might end up getting the 48 dco.

please some guru chime in so i dont ponder forever! lol

thanks.

Find a 48, then you don't need to worry about the difference. A 55 mm will feed a PP.

reckless wot on streets... honestly..

want to go to the track they opened up in englishtown or any track, going to go during the summer, want to prep the car for some fun...

stock 6 port motor, no porting, planning to large street port when motor blows. -=\
i currently run the mikuni 44mm, feel like there can be more power somewhere.

going to get a crane hi6 box... i really should figure out how to use second gen coils, and stuff, but i've already went though the trouble of fully converting my car over to carb.

being very honest, refreshing my transmission as we speak, well atleast im waiting on parts, because my clutch blew, putting in unorthodox flywheel, exedy stage 1 organic, front and rear seal, + front housing, + shortshifter with all new bushings, new fluid (eventhough the fluid is new, doing it again.

Best suggestion, when you rebuild, go with a 4-port, an ida and you will need a better clutch.

Depends on what you want to put up with. A Stage 1 clutch has at most 30% more holding power over stock. If you plan on being hard on it on the street or taking it to the 1/4 a Stage 1 won't hold up long. Didn't realize you had an S5, don't know about hood clearance.
