Working out some kinks.

Ok my computer is going kinda slow and freezing up so im gonna say all of this in one post while i can.

First, my secondaries are not opening up, i am pretty sure i have all of the linkages hooked up. the carb is off of an fb and i have an SA could that be the problem?

Second, when i give it gas whether it be revving it up or going through the gears (1st through 3rd) the tach bounces between 1k and 2k rpms. but when i let off of the gas it shows the rpms. and it works like normal in 4th and 5th gears. I recently had an MSD 6AL box installed and it didnt start having this problem until the box was installed on the leading plugs. a local rotary mechanic and a member of this forum (sneedspeedshop i think) told me i need to run a wire from the box to the tach but i can figure out how to get the gauge cluster out?

So what im asking is..... is that the right solution, and if it is how do i get the gauge cluster out?

Why tap into the tach at the tach itself, when you could just tap in at the wire it uses as a source? Blue plug on the trailing coil, or some **** like that. Wait for seconds on this because I'm drunk at the moment...
