weber carb question
A DHLA is a Dellorto carb and has been used for years on rotary engines. Used to be sold by Racing Beat with custom modifications to work well with 12A/13B rotaries. The DCOE is a weber carb and also can be used but will require a certain amount of tuning to get it right for the rotary. The DHLA is no longer sold or manufactured, not sure about the DCOE. The DHLA is a knockoff of the DCOE and is considered a more refined and a better carburator than the original Weber design, but they are very similiar in appearance and operation.
One big difference is that the DHLA has a choke on it that makes it a better cold starting carby. Someone else can chime in with specific differences.

I would only buy one that has been modified by RB and then you can expect it to need a rebuild before installation. The rebuild kits can be purchased reliably from www.dellorto.com but these guys are over in england and it takes a week or so to get the parts. Search for DHLA on this site and read everything before you even shop for one. You'll learn a lot and have a better idea of what to look for in the carb.
