Weber 51 IDA

I'm thinking of buying a weber 51 IDA for my 13B SP. The carb was installed on a BP so what stuff will I need to adapt it to my eng? Jet sizes etc... Also where do I buy jets. Thanks.

there is a guy on the forum who could proably help you out, as he has assisted 2 of INWR's mebers in turbo setups one I believe is running a webber. but the person shall remain shrowed in secrecy since I don't want to be banned for advertising.

gonzz u can search this forum or mazspeed.com for jetting reccomendataions for that motor. the old racing beat catalog has it too.

there is no recommended jetting for a 13-B street port with 51 IDA @ RB catalog. With mazspeed.com, I was the only one that used a 51 IDA. The 51 will give you a very good top end but weak low end. I didnt really care about low end end because I was in the freeway 80% of the time. But, using smaller venturies say 40mm, that will give you more low end. Unlike the 48 IDA, you will feel it from mid-top.

When I first got my old 51, I didnt find any source of info except for RB's 48 IDA recommendation which I used as a guideline. Then from there, its all trials and errors, which I considered a very good learning experience
