Weber 48 ida tuning
Hey guys my name is Alex I'm going to be 21 in a few weeks and I own a 83 rx7 with a 79 bridge port I've been some problems lately which I feel are directed to the carb, I'm still learning a lot and I'm pretty much just learning everything by myself my family is pretty proud american muscle family lol so its kinda hard to get help, but anyway so a couple of the problems I have are 1.) There is no pedal feel after like 25% of the way down if i push down harder the revs go down and it will stall. I also just put a new muffler on and it ran for a minute and died then i couldn't get it started.(i was just running headers for a while cause the old exhaust is ****) 2.) For a while it was doing this very weird thing that i couldn't figure out, I turn it on and it redlines i asked one dude and he was like "well your idle is way up" which I knew it wasn't that, so that was like 0 help then i pulled the plugs and left them out for a couple days and was showing my uncle that it does that then it idled fine so for right now that problem is done, I was also wondering if there is a different setup i could run for an over all smooth ride the dude that i bought it had a f16 emulsion tube and 45mm venturi which i wasn't going to put on the car. Also i have a pair of racing beat headers and i just got a jegs muffler for 60 bucks I'm in Columbus Ohio on OSU campus and there is a jegs right down the street.
40mm venturi
190 main jets
155 air corrector
f11 emulsion tube
70f10 idle jets
120 idle jet holder
any help would be great i just want to know if there is a setup that will have more of a smooth power band I'm still learning a lot and this is my first post to the forums as well. thank you!!!
