weather gets cold and it floods?
whats the deal with my carb'd 12a? it floods out so easily now in this cold weather. its my daily driver and ive been stuck at home twice now in the last week becuase of this problem. and its like a serious flood out too. pull the plugs and they are dripping with fuel. crank the motor with out the plugs and it takes a good 2 minutes to get all the fuel vapor out.. at least it comes out as a vapor.
any suggestions on how to fix this problem? its going to cost me my job before too long.

Don't touch the gas pedal and pull your fuel pump fuse before you crank it. If it does not start in 2 seconds, wait a few seconds and try again. If still doing it, wait 5 minutes and try again.
This is what has worked on my Boost prepped non-return Nikki. You wanna talk about starting problems I'm your guy :p

Assuming your choke is working (and engaged) and you have a good battery (cold weather can kill tired old batteries), here is a technique you might try. When starting, push the gas pedal all the way to the floor and hold it there while cranking the engine. Don't "pump" the gas peddle. Engine will usually start after a few seconds. Once started let off on the gas pedal. If engine does not start after 20 or 30 seconds, stop and wait a few minutes, before trying again. Of course, a weak battery will quickly die doing this. In that case, replacing the battery is warranted.

battery is brand new.. i do need a carb rebuild but i found out what the problem was...
it was a weak leading coil. after it got harder and harder to start, it just stopped starting all together. i would de flood and tow it around the block and it would fire eventually but last night i decided to check spark. 12 v to coil 0 v out of coil. i switched the coil wires so now my trailing coil is firing the leading and my trailing i would assume are dead. ill get a new coil on friday but i havent seen any negative affects by doing this.. im sure its hurting gas milage though but then again so is the trusty old nikki
