Warped Rotor?
So I as I was putting on my rebuilt rear calipers today (SE rear end swap), I noticed that the rotors wobbled slightly as I turned them. I tightened the screws holding the rotor to the axle and I got it to go away in the right rotor, and reduced it in the left one. In the left rotor, the max lateral differential at the outside edge is about 2mm. I'm thinking that since there are only two screws holding the rotor on, its not on all the way and when I put the wheel on and tighten it down it will be fine. What do you guys think?

I'd say try it out and see how if feels. There should be a slight amount of runout, which moves the pads away from the rotor after you finish braking. Otherwise, they would be in continous contact producing excess drag and heat....

if you're checking for warped rotors, you have to tighten the lugs down onto the rotor. Otherwise the rotor will just wobble on the hub. The right way to do it is to use a dial indicator after the rotors have been tightened. If you don't have one of those, you can at least get a visual indication of warpage by turning the rotor with the pad installed, but that won't tell you how much there is.

i saw the same thing when putting mine back together. the recommendation here was to put it all together and take it for a spin. I did that and never looked back.
