Warning lights
Okay, you know the warning lights. Exhaust, oil, all that.
Dumb, REALLY dumb question. So dumb, it hasn't been asked before.
When do they all turn off but the ones that are actually warning lights? While cranking? Or after the engine starts?
On my truck, they turn off when you start cranking. I'm wondering, because when I'm cranking it to try to get it started, almost all of them stay on. The seat belt turns off, and I can turn the brake light off by putting the E-Brake off. But, the coolant, oil, exhaust heat, and tail lamp warnings stay on.
I know why the taillamp warning would stay on: I have the taillamps out. The others shouldn't be coming on.

I'd check the alternator, as it's got a signal that comes from it to indicate the engine's running.
I'd also check wiring along all the related sensors' path.
