Want to lower my new car

I bought a '83 gsl a couple weeks ago in perfect condition. shiny white paint, no dents. 160,000 miles and runs great. Anyways, I looked under the car and noticed that the rear swaybar is severly bent by the right link. I've decided to by rb swaybars and that got me thinking about springs. Can someone give me an idea how to lower my car like this 7 here?

I plan on autoxing it. What company makes a good shock for something that stiff?

woops forgot to answer your question.

Buy some new springs, I like the racing beat springs myself but if you look mazdatrix sells three different brand and I believe they compare the ride height on each, well in the catalog they do anyway.

For the front you will need the racing beat spring lower kit.

hahahaha, When I looked under the car I was thinking to myself, "What the hell? did I hit something?!"
Wouldn't that lowering kit make the car look really high in the back though?

chopping a few coils off the back springs is no big deal.

It can have some pretty nasty effects if you try it on the front though

Nothing beats the look of a first gen than a set of aftermarket rims, and maybe an inch off the height.

I might do that someday.

I did! I think it looks a little goofy being lowered that much (or maybe that is just the lack of headlights). Either way I would just lower it an inch or so.

Have Racing Beat springs & sways. Lowers car about 1 inch & provides execellent cornering stability.

Update: RB springs came in about a week ago and I'm waiting for some Tokico Blues to arrive at my door. I'll put them in next weekend. I'm excited!
