Transmission dealings

OK I've been dealing with this guy trying to get a transmission for my car, but he keeps backing the time of picking up my car to work on it. It's been two weeks now and it keeps getting longer. I feel I'm never getting the mazda back on the road. Should I try to find someone else in my area or should I wait on him. I'm really getting pissed off. Someone help me on this.

Keep in mind that sometimes the best are the busiest because they are the best and you just have to wait on them... or take it too somebody that's not busy ?

Be careful out there.

Put the thing up on car ramps and get busy, pull it yourself. It is not a major job,
i wrote a thread on this. My record i believe stands at 40 minutes to pull everything including the flywheel and pilot bearing. Get a jack and a friend over and you will have it done in no time. rx7doctor

You have not stated what your tranny is doing or not doing? Give us a clue and maybe we can tell you whether it's tranny or not, thanks, rx7doctor

It's been doing this through each gear now it's gotten to the 1st gear. I didnt have 3rd gear when it first started to messup. Now I have nothing, it's dead. Gone the place where old folks o after Florida.

In the past was thier any grinding in gears or strange noises? I don't think it is your trans, i think it is your pressure plate. rx7doctor

I will start by saying I have had little wrench time or other wise with the tranny, but would this not be an issue with the clutch? If its slipping, would it not start with the higher gears and go down from there? That and there is no mention of noises such as grinding, whining or clunks.

it grinded everyguy brah. you name it, it did it. And no the clutch was replaced in july or june sometime around there. The tranny was on it's way out since the time I put it in. I would have to doube clutch it to get it into gear without grinding and rev it up to downshift. I just drove it too long driving it. Plus I think the front and rear seals on the tranny blew up sending gear oil everwhere, I know the rear was spewing it everywhere.

Spitting out oil thru the extension housing seal wont damage anything unless you ran it out of oil. However if the front seal went it would take out the lining on the disc, fry the pressure plate and cause havoc with the flywheel.

Please brah don't let have happened I just think my tranny is messed up beyond repair. PLEASE. I only have enough money for the tranny. Carl I have this weekend off. I'l give you a call before I come help you rebuild that beast. ok. I'll most likely come sunday cause you told me those are your days off.

LIVE LONG AND PROSPER.

Oh yea also, I upgraded my sound system to infinity speakers in the front and polk audio speakers in the rear. I found out that I had one pioneer speaker in the front on the passenger side. And a stock one in the front on the drivers side. Had some sony 5 1/4 in the rear. Now I got 61/2 polks in the rear.

2 gear noise

Hi folks,
Have a awful grinding noise in second gear only when de- accelerating,
Any thoughts on the problem.
Have put 10,000 miles on the car since i have aquired it. Changed the gear oil ..no apparent metal chips or anything.
