Want to install air conditioner for 1st gen (1979)?

Anyone have a 1979 RX-7 with A/C?
I have a 1979 RX-7.
I want to install an air conditioner in the car (condenser, compressor, wiring, hoses, everything). My car appears to be A/C-ready, but I need to know what the complete stock parts list would be.
Any advice on where to buy and a how-to?
Any ideas on cost of parts?
Thanks!

I have a 79 Air Con out of a 79 Limited with 52,000 miles, for sale, as well as photos of the install/removal. Do NOT PM me. Drop me a note at aull@alaska.net if your interested.

You need a condenser, lines, filter/drier and compressor. Check out the junkyards. there are plenty here in socal. Now for the finale, it will cost you $$$$ to get that system vacuum and charged with ozone friendly refrigerant.

I just got new A/C parts from someone working out of his house.

ALL the parts - except for the evaporator - I got from him new.
Compressor, condensor, expansion valve, dryer, pressure switch, thermostat, compressor mounting kit.
It costed approx $450.

If you get junkyard stuff - if any of it was in a system that failed from "black death" your new system will fail from it too.

I have plenty of R-12, so I got a R-12 compressor. (it works better)
You can get R134A as well.

This guy sells A/C kits for street rods and Jaguars

His name is Rocky 800 840 6162

It was good dealing with him.

I did not install it yet - it will get installed in 2 months with a 13B
