VIDEO's!!!!
Post your video links, I want to start a collection and see the different mods, and stuff you can add. I've got the 90 MB caravan video so far....
This is my bone stock 84 GSL-SE soon after I got it, but before I did any modifications to the car. The tires are 195-60-14 size

All I have to say is holy **** man. Thats one crazy brakestand. Hope to get video of my car sometime. Not sure if and when it will happen, but I hope sometime soon. I won't be doing anything like that though. I can't afford the tires to do that.

Code blue won by about a hood length the first race, then the 2nd race (w/ a passenger in HIS car) he beat me by like 3 or 4 cars and i got a 16 second 1/4 time. I was so emberassed i parked th ecar for the weekend.
My car was runnin slow like poo. And i was driving like poo, and had crappy tires. i'm attributing my poor times to the lack of race preparation. i can't expect good times from shitty tires and an overheating engine.
I only beat a few cars at the track. but it was great practice and i learned a ton about my car ( mostly about what needs to be done. it was good motivation)

ioTus,
Damn you did very well considering it was your first time on the track at Bremerton. The Temp was 94 outside. Thats hot for here. None of us did that good. Its not that easy wearing long pants having the window rolled up, with sweat pouring down your face, trying to drag race your car. Not to mention your car probably felt the same way you did...(smile).
Some people think its real easy to just drive a straight line, which it is easy to steer a straight line, but what really takes practice is hitting that light and shifting.
Our cars can do a lot better jeoff, but it just takes practice and lots of it. The weather had so much to do with. Next time you do it you will get better and better each time. So will we, and hopefully it wont be as hot.
Sorry, dont feel bad for what you did cause I think you did very well for the first time. If anyone says you suck, tell them to f-*$ off and go try it. Let a pro drive our car and 2 more secs could have came off our cars, but were not pros Jeoff.
I was sorta bummed out too cause we didnt do very well but Im figuring the weekend as an experiment. See I was racing against my carb set up to see what it had in it so that I can compair the next race with my Fuel injection and a microtech setup.
Sorry, Im proud of everyone that was out there. We didnt do our potential either, but damm, we have only raced the car 2 times ever on the track. Watch by the end of the summer we will all kick some ***, and so will you. Practice makes perfect jeoff. Its not the car as much as it is the Inexperienced drivers that we are.
So anyways YOU ROCK!!!! and so does your car.

IotuS and Code Blue:
You are 100% correct. The first time at the track is
always weird. Usually you need significant practice, as racing on the street vs. the track are two completely different things.
My first couple of runs at the track were in the mid 14s!,
in a car capable of 11's. - Pathetic I thought.
My next to last run was in the 12's, but even then, I knew it had much more in it.
I felt bad then, but in hindsight, I know it's mostly driver error, and lack of practice.
Next time at the track, I want to go to a nice "Test N Tune" so as to not have any additional anxiety from a larger event like NOPI or NHRA.
You're right though, driving with the windows up, in the heat sucks. Now - add to that a helmet, (so you can't hear jack ****), and a 5 point harness, (where you can't move more than a couple of inches) - and you get screwed up runs.
Remember, the MPH on your runs will tell you more about your car's power than the ET's. Trying to get a good hard launch on these cars is very hard on the components.
So what times and MPH did these Turbo Vs Supercharger cars run in the end?

Very nice, Tell how you did it.
I have only did one good brakestand, But we used some Dish soap to get both tires turning, No LSD. I had trouble holding the brake, Just not sure of how much pressue to put on it, But I did hold 7k just fine through the entire burn.

Well Im a willing particapant after I get my new set up and turn my boost up. I don't care if I win or lose. Its all in fun. But I will give it my best shot. Practice practice, eventually I will get good at it.
I have my R/T time down pretty consistant. Best one was .008. Just need to get the shifting down right.
