I actually do the exact same thing. I did notice a difference with it vented. Did you ever put some yarn all over the place and check airflow? I did. with it up it was drawing air into the engine bay. I wonder where it went after that?

Great work as usual, must come up and see it alive.

Just got back from Sri Lanka, and went in the S3 for a little spin to blow the cobwebs away. Sydney, Dubbo, Broken Hill, Adelaide, Port Augusta, then back along the coast road to Melbourne, across the ferry, up the Vic coast to Eden, over the mountains and home. Nice little 4,000km trip with perfect running and 8.4l per 100km. Only problem was ten days rain, then heavy snow on the Alpine Way; almost defeated the purpose of a having a convertible! Next time will head north to the Sunshine State for the warmth.

I am really pleased with the 12AT, not quite up to your 13BT but perfect for a long range cruiser driving hours at 100kph.

No 205 14 tires around and used my last set, so may have to go big Simmons. What are you using?

regards Paul

205 16's. I need to get something grippier though and maybe go up to a 215. At the moment it just kicks the back end out from a 2nd gear roll especially when the air's cool.
