victoria british catalogue arrived!

YAY!!! i finally recieved my catalogue in the mail today!

im really suprised how many little parts they sell...looks like there will be no shortage to factory oem type replacement parts if i refer to the catalogue...i can't believe i didn't know about this when i owned my previous rx7's...

question though...are alot of these parts the same quality as the ones you would get straight from mazda? or are they all manufactured from aftermarket companies? the prices seem really reasonable so it makes me wonder. anybody have any problems with any parts they've ordered from V.B?

for any of you who don't have the catalogue, i suggest ordering it...the best part is that its free! just go to their website and order it!. i live in canada and it took about 1 1/2 weeks to get.

Oh, and they have a good price on wings west airdams too...$189...that beats what mazdatrix is charging ($234)...then again i.s.c has the airdam for only $175, though i dont' know about the quality compared to w.w.

I've never had problems with their parts, and haven't heard people complain about them before. I love their catalogues for the parts breakdown diagrams. When trying to order parts locally it's impossible to explain to a local parts guy what "Control Arm Bushings are" so I fax him the VB page.

I know some parts are aftermarket, the bushings are Suspension Techniques polyurethane ones. The parts may not specifically always be OEM, but in many cases I think they must be. Who the heck else would make the combo switch around the steering column?

Despite their wide selection, there have been parts from time to time that are impossible to find. As VB runs out of stock and their suppliers stop making parts, they get "greyed out" in the catalog and are harder to find.

Wings? Airdams? Whatfor are these prey tell?

I just got my WW turbo whale tail from them. WW was not going to have one available for 3 weeks. I plan to order lots of trim parts in the next week. I also have their Z car catalogue.

I really like the V.B. Catalog. It is awsome!

I have not received another one in a few months. Maybe one has to re-order it
if one doesn't buy anything for a long time.

yeah, i noticed they sell the whale tail...but it looked like they only had the one without the "wrap around" part....oh snapshot.....oh please don't tell me you got the ugly one without the ends that wrap around....

there was a perfect never used whale tail for sale in the classifieds here on the site for only 149!!! with the wrap around even!

sorry, didn't mean to sound rude, but i just really really hate the whale tail that just "appears from nowhere"...to me it doesn't flow with the lines very well....but a nice wing none the less.

I tried to fit my old lip spoiler (avatar photos) on my wide body kit & it didn't go due to the fender flares. So, I opted for the “short” whale tail – which looks more like the 911 Porsche tail anyway. Wish I could have found the IMSA wing (not spoiler) but those went away in the 80s, except for a few custom orders made to factory racing. I think it will be ok. Contemplating painting the lower sides & a band around the back flat black like the Porsche 80ish 911s.
I drove this 79 in a driving school at Roebling:

Please tell me it won't look bad! What do you think about painting it like the 79 Porsche 911? Kind of minimallizes it a bit. Trust me, I thought about this a long time. Decided to go large & be bold w/ the whale. It screems,"look at me!". I want that w/ all the money I spent on the wide body, 13B street port, wheels, etc.

I find VB to be expensive - there ORM parts are straight from Mazda with about a 20% upcharge. Their shocks / springs / suspension pcs can be bought online for a lot less than what they are asking. I guess if you don't have access to a dealer or don't have any faith online, they are handy. I bought wheel bearing from them years ago and would have paid less by going to the dealer (not including the shipping).
