i dont like it. but i like the rear lights. maybe you could just buy that part of the kit... the rest of it is ugly

I just don't get it. For the price of an RX-7 plus that kit plus paint plus all of the other crap to make it happen you could just buy a Corvette of that vintage, and it would have the correct shape - that one's a bit off to put it politely.

I can understand a Lambofiero (Pontighini Countiero?) because the real McCoy is expensive. A real Corvette from the seventies can be had cheap. Why would you go through all of the effort and cash to build that when what you end up with is a wierd rendition of an affordable car?

The only reasoning I can come with is that the kit is available in Japan (based on the page posted) and that 70s Corvettes aren't readily available in Japan. If you wanted one it'd be cheaper to build one of those than to import one (if the regulating bodies would even allow such a thing?).
