So I popped the venturis from a junkyard carb and am going to try my hand at hogging them out to 24 and 30 mm. Know that both tapers need to be as straight as possible and meet at the witness hole sharply and be as sharp as possible at the ends. My question is has anyone tried to hit the top edge with a dremel after a installing on the bowl casting to smooth out the lip there? Especially on the primary venturis? Seems like a little bell mouth there might help the flow as the throat has a small but harsh step down of about 2.6 mm.
