vent problem

Smile vent problem

all my vent lights wont turn on but the blower turns on and i cant direct my blower to other places. thank you if u can help

Check the 15A air-conditioning fuse. This is where the heat/AC controls get their power from.

I think they call that part the logicon. You have cold solder that is not making good contact.

You need to remove the controls (logicon) disassemble to expose the printed circuit board. Remove the bad solder using a solder wick and resolder...

Our 84/85 cars have an optional push button type of heater/AC controls instead of the lever select type. Each button has a light on it to tell you what mode you are in (HEAT, VENT, etc.). Once the selected button is pushed, a motor moves the selector arm into the desired position.
