Which vehicle is this from?

Found this pic on the Mikuni website. Apparently they are on OEM produer of externally fed 2-cycle oil injection metering pumps for snowmobiles, jetskis, etc. The mounting pattern of the topmost pump looks similar to a Mazda's. Just wondering if anyone knows which vehicle this is from.

I don't think that's *actually* a mazda pump. I think he's saying that the pumps are probably from snowmobiles, and if we can figure out which vehicle that top one is from, we might be able to see if we can mod it to work on our cars

Yes...These are definitely not from a Mazda at all. They have a port for external 2-cycle oil feed. Also looks cable actuated. I am just curious to find out which vehicle this is for.

It is more likely from a boat with an 2-cycle outboard motor.

Some theory of operation:

If you do find out and have the intentions of testing whether or not it can work for our cars, I'm really curious as to the outcome myself.

The top one looks like it may fit the 13Bs. The second one looks to have the same drive tab as our's too. If the top one would work, it would be a great addition to any engine.

Getting warmer...Checkout this OMP block-off plate for Kawasaki water craft. Looks like a 12A OMP bolt patern.

Also check out this OMP from a 1999 YAMAHA SRX 700

I wonder what the line dangling down is for.

Looking through the patent link you posted, it's for the purge line. Now the question is what is the purge for?

Yeah, not a super interesting patent, but it describes pump operation well enough. The purge added was to eliminate air bubbles that could stop oil flow when mounting the oil supply below the pump...Sometimes patents that are improving on prior art are interesting because they showcase problems with the prior art.
