vacuum pressure

what pressure should the vacuum lines be at idle????

Manifold vacuum? Depends on idle speed and health of the engine. My racecar with 150psi compression and idles at 700- 18-20"hg. My streetcar with 90 psi compression, idles at 800- 12"hg.

my 84 se with 200+k miles has 16 inlbs of vacuum at idle (roughly around 900 rpm)

My racecar is rock steady, cant say the same for the streetcar, the needle is a blur LOL.
