Vacuum hoses on distributor?

vacuum advance. When you floor it, the distributor will advance time for more power. The hoses need to feed off the intake somewhere. I think you can get a fitting that will splice off the brake booster hose attachment to the intake.
A good test to see if vacuum advance is working is hook up a timing light, start the motor, aim it at the timing mark on the crank pulley, and give the throttle linkage a good tug. the crank pulley should advance away from the timing mark and go right back to normal when you let off the throttle.
