Vacum senors on top of engine?

Vacum senors on top of engine?
ok there are 6 vacum senors i believe they are on top of the engine sum going to carb and other somewhere else. ive heard from couple people they seen other poeple take them out and do something else with it.....is that true? and do you know where i can get them at cuz i need one badly and the filter(2) on two of the lines i need.

that would be the rats nest, only remove them if you don't have to pass aircare... (smog testing). They are all related to emissions in some way, and if you don't have those, your air pump, and some form of catalytic convertor functioning on your car, you won't pass.
if, however, the car doesn't have to be aircared, take them off, cap all the vacuum lines at the base of the manifold, and there's one hose outlet on the Shutter valve you have to plug, don't remember which....
do a search for "rat's nest removal" there's a whole how'to on here somewhere...
