using s4 8.5 rotors in gsl-se housings

using s4 8.5 rotors in gsl-se housings

i have a s4 turbo rotation assembly...and se housing 12a plates..i would like to build an engine with these parts... my guestion is there any problem running s4 rotors in se housing......

I just bought a s4 motor to do the same thing with the 12a plates. I was guessing hope it will work out....

rx71king: u shouldn't have any problems using ss4 rotating assembly with the gls-se housings and 12a plates.

splat mat: u will need gsl-se housings as the s4 housings wont work with 12a plates. s4 and later engines have the "O" rings grooves in the plates instead of the rotor housings.

I have put together s5 rotating bits in -se housings and 12a plates, everything plays nice. The only drawback is that good -se housings are getting to be rare.

i did one too, i bought new rotor housings though, there are no good used ones

Racing Beat advises against doing so in their old catalogs... but after asking around on here (this was prob 10 years ago) people said it would work so I gave it a try & it was fine... Although I used SE rotating assembly in a S4 motor / housings.
