Upgrade to 90 amp alternator
Hi Everyone,
I have a 1985 GSLSE and wanted to upgrade to a 90 amp Nissan alternator from my 1983 RX7. The shop that installed it in my 83 rewired the alternator so the alternator directly charges the battery.
My question is, do I need to rewire the 85 in a similar way or can I just integrate it to the stock wiring? My concern is if I don't wire it to recharge the battery directly, that the additional amps will burn the stock electronics. I hate working with electricity.
