update on my SA

well i got out and looked at the car today since it is finally nice outside.. the good news is that the car starts up fine now and everything from the engine back is in great shape. the front is damaged as you saw in my old thread with the pictures. the frame piece that the radiator bolts onto is now sitting 1/2 and inch from the fan.. i had to take the fan shroud off to start the car. so since i dont have the time, money, knowledge, or space to fix frame and body work i am going to have to part with my car. I will entertain offers for it before i decide to sell it on ebay or in a trading post. the car is in great condition other than that with pretty much no rust. and i also have a delorto carb that i was going to put on it but i dont have the manifold. it will go with the car.. unless someone wants to offer me something for that too.. the car is driveable.. the only problem is there is a pinhole leak at the top of the radiator. so i would advise towing.. but it is possible to drive. let me hear your offers.. i am also looking for trade for a decent motorcycle. so let me know.. thanks

Honestly, IMO its not that bad. Too bad you don't have a friend thats close by. Hell if I were close I'd cut the front off of the parts car I have and give it to you.

honeslty that isn't so bad ... its mostly bolt on things that you have to fix, if oyu take shot of behing the rad from the engine bay so we can look at the damage from there that would be great, but from the looks of it you will need a hood (4 bolts) piece inbetween headlight (4/6 bolts i think) headlight covers(4 screws) front bumper (2 bolts) ... if there's any frame damage ... you should be able to pull that pretty easily. you should be able to get all the repairs done for about 200dollars or so. (minus paint that is)

its not that i am giving up on it.. its that my apartments say it has to go.. and i dont have anywhere else to store it. so i either sell it or it gets towed and i will never have the money to get it back.. so then it will most likely be crushed. So i would rather someone take it off my hands so it could have a chance of being back on the road.. its all too much stress for me. i will take pics of the inside of the engine bay tomorrow.
