UPDATE! the MOUND lives!!!
So after a restoration on the engine about a year ago the Mound wouldn't start. I tried everything, no start. Gave up, borrowed a car or two to get by, forgot about the Mound and let it rot away....
Yesterday towed it to my mechanic's shop...he did a compression test and the rear rotor was way low. few drops of ATF and it was back up above 120 psi! Turned the key and varoooom! It started like it was new! Run's fine, no major backfires yet. Idle is a bit low and rough but dang it's running again!
And now my daily driver....hopefully the restoration will continue...it's a long way to go still but slowly getting there.
I'll be back in here now!
Right on.

I wish you luck with the restoration!! These engine sometimes seem bulletproof!! I let mine sit for 5 years all I had to do is change gas and the battery and it started.. Ofcourse I had to clean and make adjustments on the carb afterwards but it was and is fine. I'm restoring mine too.. Body engine all of it!!
