Ok, after having a friend nag me constantly about the color of the steering wheel I have put the black one on that he suggested. I also put on the black shifter **** and am going to change the shifter boot back to black to see what it all looks like.

Ignore the brown floormats that are seen in the picture. Have not decided what type of mats I want yet and did not want to dirty the recently dyed carpeting.

Ok guys, lets hear your input on the wheel.
Personally I think it looks out of place but I also got used to the Tan wheel so I may have to leave it for awhile to determine if I like it or not.

Indeed, back to the tan! Besides, you've destroyed the dash now without the horn emblem in there.

There is no way that the wheel is out of place. Actually look at the picture. Everything that sticks out at you on the dash it black. The switches, glove box latch, vents, surround. A tan wheel looks out of place because that is the only tan thing that sticks out!

I'm not familiar with the brand of paint that you are all using to paint the interiors of your cars. SMC is not a brand that I recognize, is there another name it goes by? Have there been any new paints come out in the last three years that you would use instead that would work better? I'm getting ready to paint all of the interior plastic pieces in my 82 GSL, and I would like any input that you can give me.
Thank You.

Just some updated pictures.

Rear wheel well covers and hatch trim need major touch up as they have seen abuse over the last 3 years.

Love the light Tan Interior in FB's.. Looks so European! Doc, get a set of Tan FD seats to really set it off, along with a wood steering wheel and shift ****.

Yep that would look sweet but I sold the car and they are picking it up next week.

I bought a 2nd gen to play with right now since I have never owned one. Last time I got rid of my 1st gen 2 weeks later I had 3 of them! LOL
