Update on 2gcdfis Transistor trick?

OK, I just discovered this, thinkin I should do it instead of dlidfis. Only thing is, theres like a 800 post long thread to sort through, and I'm not up to it. Can I cheat off your test? Copy notes? Anyone want to fill me in?
I saw issues w/ overheating the 2G coil, is that an issue with all of them?

Is GSL-SEaddict selling the boards/kits?

thanks for any info!

EDIT:hmmm... I just stumbled across the thread in the group buy section, I'll try to figure some questions out there. It's only 60 posts.

Another EDIT: OK, awnsered most of my questions here:

Yes, I have kits/assembled units available. Just pm me and I will get you set up and can answer any questions. That big TT thread can be hard to follow. I think the heating issue will be worked out. I just need to have some more testing done on the circuit to make sure it is working correctly.

For all the other guys waiting: I got the ignitor connectors today. I will be working on assembly/kitting this weekend. I am in the process of getting some good automotive grade wire from Germany. I am having a hard time finding some in France. Once I know everything is correct, I will start shipping.

i just finished my board and getting ready to install it at a later date once i get the 2nd gen coil but i was wonder what exactly you gain from this, a extra spark to clean out the left over gas? in this cause will it make it easier to pass emissions and alos is there a HP gain?

i had access to all the aprts at school so for a school project i decided to make this so if i ever wanted it i could use it but im not sure what it even does

i wonder what upgrades can be done and still be able to pass emissions with having this TT? maybe abit of a port on the intake?

yea i was thinking of getting a new manifold anyways so i cna keep stock parts and swap them back on when its time, but from what i have heard its hard to get power out of our cars when emission laws are in place

Cool. Which circuit did you build (the one on page 47 of the TT thread? the simple one in the write-up?)? I think the main gains are in quicker revs and it seems to be cleaner burning. I don't think anyone has checked emissions before/after, though. It would be an interesting comparision. Paul and Rob (from Australia) did some dyno testing with the circuit. The gains aren't much, though (1-2 RWHP). A few guys have also reported a 2-3 MPG increase with the setup.

Let us know how it works for you.
