Question Underside body

Hey,

My rx is about to get resprayed but before I give it to my spraypainter I wanted to give the underside a whole new clean. I've already steamcleaned both the engine bay and the underside...but what I was thinking of doing is giving the diff and all the steering gear a new life. Has anyone got suggestions/reccomendations on how to do this? obviously it'll be a little rusted down there so I was thinking of sanding? back the crap and putting a nice new coat of por 15 black over the diff and the drivetrain, and same for the steering gear and struts etc.

I figure, even though no-one ever sees under our cars... I'll still know that the underside is really badly old and that'll annoy me unless I fix it.

Cheers

You could always get it underbody coated, they spray pretty much everything except for the exhaust.

I would try sand blasting but you will have to remove all the grease first since grease dont come off to well with blasting.

I just cleaned my underbody up real nice and used a spray on truck bed coating for the most part and for the driveline I used a high temp black paint that come in a can that you have to brush or roll on cause its so damn thick.

My underbody looks pretty much new, I have to do the tie rods soon so I will take some pics.

I only did it to stop the rust and help prevent any future rust, plus I get tons of compliments when I took it to the exhaust shop and the tire shop, and when I get the oil changed.

My land lord owns a precision tune auto center.
I work on his computers he changes my oil and stuff.
Hes gonna do my alignment once the tierods are done.

Besides that last time I had 3 5gal buckets full of oil and nothing to do with it and im too lazy and afraid of it spilling to transport it so it just makes more sense to get it done.
But I do bring my own AMSOIL and FRAM filter
