under the passenger kick pannel....

Under the passenger kick pannel, there is the ecu, and some other little box to the left of it.

Any Idea what it is?

My car is an 85 GS.

I have my ECU from my '85 sitting here beside me and don't see any other box. Can you take a pic?

It's NOT an ECU. It is a CPU. It controls the ignition key light, the timer for the lighted keyhole (driver side), receives a signal from the ignition key and oscillator to relay a signal to the instrument cluster buzzer to sound when low oil/radiator fluid are present. I also think the delay/relay for the wipers is in that unit also.

There are also some other "smaller" relays in the area that control the antenna and some other things I don't remember now.

Ooops, my bad. I totally mis-read the initial posting.

ECU, an atmospheric pressure sensor, and that other little box you're asking about- I can't remember...

yeah I've looked in there quite a few times to find out what it is... but they dont show anything that looks like it....

Someone has to know what the hell the thing is or does, and its not in every car as I've found out, what the hell is it?
