Um just came across this

Incredibly sorry if this is a repost but i just came across this, I owned an FB for over a year but have since moved on to FC's but ill always have a soft spot for these first gens and this struck me as odd ive never seen this, Is it like a set up that the dealer did as an upgraded package type deal or was this a custom job? It doesnt look like it because it looks like a mazda dealership flyer or something. Ive attached the image but dunno if itl work.

I think its a custom also because of the stamp in the lower left, something auto manufacturing.

Wow that's old. When Orlando had the same Area Code as Miami!!! Now both cities have 10 digit dialing and 3 area codes a piece..

Hmm yea seems to be i googled the company and i got a page with a bunch of drop top caddies that were deffinetly custom. I dunno it looks ok down but up it looks like **** kinda like the FC verts the back comes up to sharp and ruins the curves........ i happen to own an S5 but fc's look funky as it so whatever. But yea definite custom job.

Everytime I see a convertible first gen I die a little inside.

Sorry to all you vert lovers out there... I just think it ruins FB's and FC's alike. Mazda didn't make first and third gens as verts for a reason. I don't know why they made them for second gens...

Yes it was a Mazda package, and they were sold from the dealer with amended MSO and warranty. The work was good. Not sure how many were made, but it was a very small number (at least 3). Maybe about as many as the similar ones in Australia?

The visual difference is comparable to other sports cars with coupe and convertible versions, such as a Maserati Ghibli, Ferrari Daytona, and others.

Ya, i agree with normality glitch. I don't like verts on our cars, espsecially 1st gens. Mazda made one of the coolest cars ever. The coupe design is so awesome. I love it
