Ultra newbie questions!!!

Alright, basically, im coming home today from a nice long drive, and i see this nice looking black car on the side of the road, ofcourse, i look to see what it is, mmm, its an rx7, cool, then i see the for sale sign, so i pull in and HOLY **** i see "350 cash" its an 85 GS.

VIN- Jm1fb3312fo877009
"Runs Fine"
116k miles
*You could run that vin in you guys want...*

Body is in good shape as is interior, im wondering what should i look out for, from sticking my head under the car i saw what looked to be a lot of caked on stuff, etc etc, im wondering how had is it to drop in a new engine, (ive head of v8's being dropped) and stuff like that, im thinking though, for 350 bucks, it might be a good buy regardless...

The car is kinda riced at the moment, i'll upload some pics asap, id take all the ricey **** off(racing stripe and white wipers, and "player" rims were the worse things)

Basically, im wondering if there are any huge things to look out for (like crankwalk in 2nd gen DSM's) any insight would be greatly appreciated.

lol, do you know anything about rotary engines? go to www.rotaryengineillustrated.com

leave the rotary in it, its a great engine

Main thing to look for is make sure it runs good, and check for rust, especially in the wheel well area(pull off the rear wheels and check there especially, they rust like no other. On the plus side, its really easy to do work on 1st gen RX-7s.
