after a request for a review of the lightened steel flywheel that i have purchased through tweak it
I did plenty of research and found out several prices for flywheels
AFTER SENDING SOME EMAILS I FOUND THAT THE " Super LIGHTENED" FLYWHEEL was 11lbs which is quite light for a steel one ( Their lightened steel was 16 I believe)
so i ordered it and was suprized that the shipping was only 50 dollars from austrailia to North Dakota in 20 days
The wight was fine because the motor had not come yet so I bought it without the ring gear in a way to save even more money which was by a few dollars
A ring gear was purchased through a wholesale site which is no longer running actually but it came to a total of 30 with shipping
I then got the ring gear put on at my local machine shop which was only 10 bucks
on reccieving the flywheel from the machine shop he complimented on the craftsmanship of the flywheel which was quite suprising considering they hate import everything

Upon installing it I ran into a problem
comparing to the stock flywheel there were risers used to mount the pressure plate on
THe one purchased through tweak it had no risers at all and i DIdnt want to spend 30 dollars through racing beat to get the mounts so I ran out and got machine washers and used the proper amount to keep the pressure plate mounted at the stock height
after completeing my car i started the engine up and began breaking in
the idle is pretty smooth as long as the carb is tuned and throttle respose has much more snap to it
I would reccomend this flywheel to anyone who has Fi or who is running a turbo setup
with strong steel craftsmanship and light weight for better throttle response I was quite impressed for the $250 pricetag

Thanks for the report. Something else to add to the growing list for my next build.
