TV Tornado Fuel Saver
The infomercial is very frustrating for me to watch because it's such a blatent disregard for science and logic.

Amusing. None of the demonstrations that they show in the infomercial even demonstrate the same principle that this thing is supposed to work on.
They take a 2 liter bottle, fill it about half way with water and tape the mouth to another 2 liter bottle. They flip the bottle over and the water slowly gurgles it's way from the top bottle to the bottom. Then they do it again but this time swirl the bottles around, making the water swirl around and it quicklly goes from the top bottle to the other. It's a totally bogus demonstration.
To get the water into the bottom bottle as fast as possible, the water in the top bottle needs to have an easy way to exchange places with the air in the bottom bottle. By just filpping the bottles over the water in the top bottle totally blocks the air in the bottom bottle from trading places, making the water slow to enter the bottom bottle. The reason the water makes it down faster the second time is because the swirling water tends to stick to the sides of the bottle due to centrifical force and it leaves an opening in the water at the center of the neck of the bottle for air to easily exchange places with the water.
This has absolutely nothing to do with the way the tornado thing is supposed to work but it makes a cool swirling demonstration.
They throw every unrelated swirling demonstration they possibly can at this thing. I'm surprised they don't show the rifling action of a bullet and claim that this thing works on the same principle (it's not, in case anyone was wondering).

holy science class batman! i never expected this to keep going on and on. the thing is crap, the commercials are crap, the price is definitely crap, and its results are nothing.
