TurboII swap Project: XXR 962 Gold Staggered 17x7x9. Which tires????
Got the rims!! Little heavy, but price and fitment are good. Ive got an Idea on tires but am worried about fender clearance in the back. The outer edge of the wheel is 14mm farther out than the flare. The car is currently on Jack-stands, suspension is full extension. Probably gonna move stands to the rear axle and get a better measurement, but its too cold.
XXR 962 Gold, Staggered Fitment,
F 17x7 +40
R 17x9 +35
Tires I'm thinking Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport
F 205/45-17
R 245/40-17
Anybody have experience on these sizes?? or other suggestions on fender modification. I'm hoping an aggressive rolling will clear, I really want to avoid any cutting or rebuilding of the flare. I can also make a smaller tire fit, but tire selection goes out the window. And I need the sidewall, as MN roads can be ruthless.

Some additional shots of the clearances on the rear. Has about 15-20mm of clearance on the inside edge. Its gonna be close with the tire, Anti-roll will have to be somewhat tight in the rear. A shot of the fronts clearance at the strut as well, for reference.

Inside should be fine, I doubt the tire will contact the inner fender. Attached flairs require cutting the fender, and that I want to avoid. I'm not looking for the super wide look, I'm looking for the barely fits look. And I hate spacers; to me they just mean the wheel doesn't fit your car.

Anybody have experience rolling the rear fender?
I'm about to order a eastwood fabrication fender roller. The front looks like cake, but the rear appears to be a seam and I imagine its going to be a pain to fold and stretch double thick steel. It will be done pre-paint so I can heat it up if needed.

Its gonna be tight. I'm on vacation now but when I get back I'm going to put the weight on the axle. I put a giant straight edge on the wheel and it was around 15mm from the fender, but with a plumbob it was closer. I think because the axle is hanging and the geometry of the watts link it is at a slight angle. Soon as I get back I'll bolt the other wheel on and put the stands under the axle and recheck everything.

Got her leveled out, front jacks moved to front wheel center and lifted at pumpkin. Springs have been out for years, so they'll have to settle a bit again.
outer edge of wheel is 10mm out from outside edge on both sides. Inside edge is closest at the raised edge of the control arm reinforcement, thats 20mm.\\
Gonna be tight, but I think rolling will cover it.
