Thumbs up Turbo project soon to begin

I have had all this stuff for over a year and a half now, well finally it has come time to turbo the 7, I will be starting in two weeks when I get home for xmas break. SHould have it running in a week after that, but not drivable because of the carb. Just want to start it up and make sure everything is cool. Getting more carb stuff for xmas so I guess I will just wait to tune it. I have a PLX M300 wideband to use too.

Here are some pics of the turbo and manifold

I am thinking about not locking the distributor and just retarding it to start with. But not positive on that yet. I will be running a drawthrough setup with my holley carb.

I'm hoping to find be able to find a means to afford a jdm 12a Turbo engine to drop in my '83 GSL. I had hoped to have it by now, but costs of moving out and various other things that went wrong with both my 7 and my Jeep at the same time has dwindled my cash to squeeze the $930 dollars just out of my budget. I'm shooting to have it done and running by April for Rotary Revolution in Indy.

Good luck, bud. I too am getting ready to start my turbo project. Saving up the cashflow, as usual to get all the necessary parts. Hope your car is a strong runner. Good luck, once again.

Drawthrough... Do a blow-through. Its much better. Can do a lot more with blowthrough.

I agree with you, WackyRotary. Blow through's a more effective, less costly, and still bring about great Hp gains! up to you.

cheaper, have all the parts, don't need to screw to much with my carb. If I would do anything else it would be fuel injection,. . lol I just wanted to do something different. Definitley costs less than a blow through...
