Turbo kit on Ebay

Guys,

This kit is fast. My friend had a similar setup and that car pulls hard. If it stays somewhere around $1500, it'll be a good deal.

WOW, that is one HELL of a turbo kit. I never knew they made something liek that, but with dual downdraft webers, the power gains would be amazing

Damn. Can somebody buy that for me. I should have a GSL-SE in a few decades. I can pay you back then. That's just too nice to let go. Somebody on here has to get it to keep it in hte family.

well my buddy had one of those 2c kits from cartech and all he ever did was try to sync the carbs and get them jetted properly!!! pain in the ***!!!
in my opinion the kit was overkill, as 1 50mm weber is enough(sidedraft )
the carbs corky used were the IDF series , wich were inexpensive compared to the other weber carbs but limited in performance too. the float bowls were small and you couldnt go too big on the main jet before you maxed out the fuel well flow capacity..
if you want a 4bbl blowthrough system , then holley is the way to go
example(directfreak)

as far as a modern version of the cartech systems go , i would have to say the Rotaryshack blowthrough systems are far superior in maximum h/p capabilities and remember back in the 80's his 1c kit sold for $3,500 and the 2c kit was $4k plus!! so that would make my kits more affordable too....

a reminder though, corkys turbo kits were the **** back in the day, and he's very knowledgable too

Yea ,my limited experience with webers on other cars would lead me to agree that keeping them sync'd would be a real bitch. I dont think it would be overkill though, depending on the venturis used. But definately not a daily driver setup. Arent the IDF's the ones for racing only? Real simple design, no choke and such?

I talk to Corky on the phone a lot so if you need any info I'm sure I can get it. He's sent me free stuff every now and then.

The IDFs are the more street friendly carb actually, it's the IDA that isn't street-able.
