why not just drop in a TII engine/turbo? Or is it 12A power only?

umm I dunno bout the other guys, 13BT is illegal in the SA over here, and also I just want to show up everyones 13Bs with my little 12A.

oh yeah, heaps of people over here run the FC type 13BT with the turbo removed and the 12A carb and manifold fitted via an adapter plate, seems pretty silly to me.

Aww man . I wanted to do a 12A turbo every since the first day I got an RX-7, because no one else was . they were all doing 13BT swaps. Oh well, at least there are more people willing to learn about it I guess . Im still gonna do it, but its not as cool now that everyone and their brother is doing it, lol .

yea i mainly wanna do it because the 13BT swap has been done but there isnt nothin wrong with a 13BT anything turbo kicks *** , and ever since i got into rotaries , well all cars for that matter, i have always wanted a turbo, one of my favorite sounds heh not to mention the power gains...

i first got into cars when i was like 11 or 12 and i played my brother gran turismo (1) then i ended up buying the other 2

Enlighten me, what work to make it legal? legal for racing, legal for street? Just curious.

damn, I just read that archived thread, and you guys have it so much easier, we cant use the 2nd gen exhaust because the turbo fouls the steering box, as we have right hand drive

TJ, people over here in oz dont usually do turbo without injection any more, all the oz forums tell me to go fuel injection, because we can get cheap programmable aftermarket computer to run it here. but Im doing carb to make it reakl cheap, even down to using the stocky carb

and yeah I can enlighten you, legal for the street, because of the capacity increase, in a 1st gen, 13B non turbo is straightup legal, as are 12AT I believ, but 13BT are too much of an increase in capcity, so they need to have an engineers report done.

having said that, there are a few illegal 13BT conversions driving around, when inspection time comes, the turbo is unbolted, then bolted back on after its passed.
