Turbo Cat backs?

First of all, I know there are specific exhaust systems for the 1st gens, but can you bolt on (with modifications of course) a different cat back for my car? Or are there special types of turbo cat-backs that are only able to work with a turbo car. What kind of negative affects do these mufflers have, if any?

Thank you guys for any helpful information provided.

well first of all an NA exhaust has more restriction which will give you less power on a turbo motor. they all work for turbo cars but na systems will notwork as well on turbos, and vice versa

Ahh, I see. So no matter what I put on my car, it will still work, just depending on the exhaust size, if the cat if gutted or not, and straightness from the manifold to the tip, depends on it, huh? Alrighty then...
