Turbo 2 clutch

Hi guys doing a turbo 2 swap on my RX-7, have bought the engine and have a question. The engine doesnt have a clutch, just a flywheel, im getting a turbo 2 tranny soon and need to know whether I can run my current clutch, I have a 12a tranny with a NA 13b Turbo 2 (running a carb) atm, will that clutch swap to the new setup or will I require an entirely new clutch?

Thanks

I assume you are already running the auto counterweight for the TII engine?

You will need a new flywheel and clutch to suit the TII tranny.

if you have the stock 12A flywheel.. throw it in the woods..

you'll need a rear C-weight from an AUTO trans car from the same year range for 12A (71-73, 74-83, 84-85)

then a TII 240mm flywheel.. (your stock flywheel is 215 or225) then a clutch and PP for the TII trans..

unless you have an S2 RX-3/4 bellhousing laying around to use with the TII trans... if you do, let me know and we can walk through this swap.

Well the engine im swapping in is a t2 and im swapping in a t2 transmission aswell, was wondering whether the clutch currently on my current setup (I bought it this way so not sure whats inside yet) (13b t2 engine with turbo stuff removed and carb fitted and a 12a gearbox) would fit onto my new setup or whether i have to get an entirely new clutch assembly?

Thanks

if you wanna use the 12-A clutch, then you will need to use a 12-A flywheel. You need the following as the TII stuff are much larger.

1. 215 or 225 (depeding on which 12-A you have) aluminum or lightened steel flywheel.
2. TII auto rear counterweight.
3. Old school bellhousing (pre-79 trannies) to swap on the TII bellhousing.
