Turbo 1979 12A
Ok, im trying to word this so that you people can see I have been through the faqs and that I really dont want this thread closed or a "Read The Faqs before posting the common overly asked question"
Ok, I have been through the faqs, i understand the idea of it, and that you rx7 pros get tired of answering the same questions! Under the faqs the question is asked, and the answer is that you can put a turbo in a generation 1. The only literature following it up, is pretty much changing the motor. I did alot more research and found a turbo that would supposedly work with a 12a, although it never mentioned performance gains and was very unclear on alot of things. Later put into simple terms.... my computer crashed. I reformatted to oem. And now have none of my bookmarks. What im wanting to know if anyone knows of a turbo that is directly compatible with a 1979 rx7 12a engine. If you have links or literature on it, that woudl be great to. Also, any mention of what sort of performance gains to expect would be nice. I dont want to change my engine, I want to change the performance of my engine. Thank you very much. K.C.

No bolt-on kits are currently being made. You'll have to piece together your own setup. Aaron Cake's NA-Turbo FAQ is very helpful, though it's written for FCs. If you go the blow-through route, Robert at Rotaryshack can hook you up. Good luck, and if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask.
