Trying to pull off the damn power steering pump, won't come

I have everything disconnected on my 84 GSL power steering pump except where the pump mates with the rack (isn't that what it is? The bar that goes all the way across). I have the nut off the end of the bolt (duh) but it just doesn't want to slip out of there. As of yet, I haven't chosen to use brute force to get it out because I have feared breaking it, but is that the only way?

In case I have been unclear as to which mating point this is, I will specify. There's the pump with the little arm coming off of it. This attaches to the steering rack(?) with the same style bolt/nut/pin combo used everywhere in the steering.

Thanks

C'mon, I know someone has done this before. All I need to know is how the PS pump connects to the rack. Is it threaded or just stuck?

(I guess this is a bump )

Never done one, but I know on the manual one with the pitman arm. It just slides on there, but its A BITCH to get off. You have to use a puller, im assuming this is the same way. I just pulled the pitman arm off my steering box I got from ebay and I broke a puller trying it...

It's not a rack. Only cars with rack and pinion steering have racks.

As for getting the pump off tho, I have no idea, sorry

Done this

Once you pull off the pully, there are, I believe, three mounting nuts. I'll look at mine tonight and suppliment.

Once the nuts are removed, it just drops right off the mounting bracket.

Sorry about all the wrong terms, but I did get it removed. It eventually "slipped" out, with some convincing . No worries though, now I have nothing in my engine bay.
