Trying to find suspension parts

I found a link a while back for a company that made some bad *** camber caster plates and coil over kits. The link is now dead and i need to get a hold of them. Does anyone know how to get in touch with them? This is the link--- http://www.racersareme.com/

Thanks

He doesn't have his FB anymore, i think he moved on to a Datsun Z so that he doesnt have to worry about smog. My brother bought his car(it is super nice!) in May this year and he said he closed down his machine shop already, maybe you can try to e-mail or call him and ask if he has any extras left over.

P.S.I highly recommend those camber and caster plates, they are 10 times better than the one ReSpeed ones that i have.

Yup, last I heard, Tom doesn't have these anymore. Try and email him though and maybe he might still have a set sitting around?

Was there a functionality issue you ran across or was this based on construction materials?

Just curious.

The one Respeed makes is not a bad quality, but the one that he made is much easier to adjust and the sliding plate won't wobble or move around when you try to adjust it. Another bad part of the Respeed one is that you cant slide the plate to its fullest, the bolts will hit the frame of the car. Also, you can't use a socket wrench to loosen or tighten up the bolts of the sliding plates when you adjust it since the bolts are so close together, you have to use an open-ended wrench and even then it is hard to loosen or tighten it.

K-mac

Check out www.k-mac.com
part 481116K
Very slick design for both camber and caster.
You don't even need to jack up the car to change the settings.
Note that you have a choice of "road" with urethane, "road/race" with urethane and replaceable pillow ball or "full race" no urethane but with replaeable pillow ball.
The samples they had on display at the SEMA show were very good looking pieces.

Thanks for the link. The main thing i am looking for is the drop in coil over kit. I am running first gen shocks and struts on my RX-3 (kinda) and my turbo is trying to occupy the same space that my spring is. I looked at the ground control setup but don't like the idea of having to cut the perch off and weld in a new one. I sent an e-mail to Tom last night but never heard back from him. Does anyone know of a coil over kit that is more of a direct replacement? Thanks for all the help everyone!

this is what I have in my RX-3. Its 85 strut/brakes with tokico 5way/GC coil-overs/springs and RE speed camber plate. Too low and bouncy. Im waiting for a knuckle spacer and upper spacer to come-in.

Looks great wacky! Are those the weld on GC kits and you just have them setting on the perch? Where did you get your bump steer spacers?

Yes, in order to obtain max camber the strut top must be modified. You should find that street car and occasional track days you will not run out of camber adjustment. Full blown cars on slicks will need to modify the chassis to obtain max camber of the plates. Our design allows for a HUGE amount of negative camber. Way more than would ever be needed.

Point taken. I have modified the design and starting with the next batch that are manufactured the changes will be made. Thank you for the feedback.

It sits on top of the perch. A local is making the knuckle spacer for me and I just need to finish the 3/4 spacer based on the stock triangular upper shim. As is, it handles good except my front tires rub and the smell of burning rubber + fumes are no fun. Thats even with the front fenders lips un-tucked instead of rolled.

I didn't know that I need to modified the strut top to get more negative camber... Thanks for the response... The new design on the bolts will help making adjustment a lot easier

One question about getting ground control coilover... Where do you seat the top of the springs if you use it with the respeed plates?

I am also going to add a 1:1 drawing in the installation manual that can be cut out and traced onto the top of the chassis. It will show where the chassis should be modified. You will be able to find it on our website for download by next Monday.

The coil-over setup should include an upper spring seat. This is the part that will locate the spring and sit against the torington bearings that sit against the bottom of the plates.

Ok, thanks... I am looking into the ground control coil-over to get me a much higher spring rate.

IIRC, they are tokico springs. Remind me next Saturday to get the part #. I bought another RX-3 so I will do the same set up but with longer springs.

I looked at the Ground Control site and searched for a while, coilover and rx-7, and didn't find coilovers there. Only the camber plates and sway bar came up. I was going to buy from Racersareme, but that closed down.

I should have our coil over kits out by the end of the month.
