Trying to bring some life to my old worn stock rims
Trying to shine up my stock rims, They look nice but not as nice as some I've seen out there. I have done as follows.( These are the X patern rims with Grey patterns, Stock GSL
1.Applied a paint remover, to remove the clear coat
2.Clean rim of Strip, and residue clear
3.Used 240 grit to sand the rims to remove crack like thingamajigs.
4. Now the rim is clean metal and dull looking
5. MOTHERS, MOTHERS and some more MOTHERS, all by hand, they look nice but they seem to be lacking that luster.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Sears has a buffing kit for ten bucks that attaches to your drill. It includes the compounds neccessary to get the rims shiny. It has four bars for different metals.
