I have areal nice 83 gsl i blue up the 12A. so i put a 13B and a side draft webber on it. The car rips! FOR SOME REASION I HAVE NO WATTER, TEMP, ALTANATOR, OR GAS GAUGES. The stock tack onley woorks when it feeles like it.I have had over 20 first gens and had put manney motors in. I need some advice on wat to try next. If at all posible i dont wont to melest a very very nice origanl car with after market gauges. anney advice would be apreated . GOD BLESS!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

I can't believe that with owning over 20 1st gens that you have not encountered this problem before. :-)


The most common problem that occurs is that the fuse (meter one) in the fuse block blows. Yes, it is that simple. :-)

Second and very uncommon is that the circuitry in the instrument cluster is bad which means a new instrument cluster.

On the tachometer issue. Since yours is a 85 model I would have to say that you may have a loose connection in the wiring to the tachometer and not a trailing ignitor problem or the tachometer is starting to fail.
